Longevity Lab owner Nicolas Baudin brings to the studio a lifelong passion for movement and fitness, a Ph.D. in sports sciences, and over 15,000 hours of training experience. Nico grew up in Paris, France, and for as long as he can remember, he wanted to be a physical education teacher—at least, once he figured out at age six that baking madeleines wasn’t a real career option. He followed his curiosity about the human body and mind through his years of schooling, research, and teaching classes in sports sciences at Paris West Defense University. On the side, his interest in teaching physical activity led to his first experiences as an in-home personal trainer in Paris in 2008.
Nico moved to Alaska in 2009 — pursuing his thirst for adventure and love of the outdoors — and continued his doctoral research. In 2010, he started working for The Alaska Club as a personal trainer, where he quickly became the go-to trainer for older clients concerned about maintaining their mobility, strength, and balance. Thanks to his years at The Alaska Club, Nico learned a lot about the goals, needs, expectations, and desires of an aging population.

In 2016, to offer even more to his clients and help more people in the Anchorage community, Nico established Longevity Lab, a private personal training studio with top-of-the-line equipment and knowledgeable and experienced trainers. Nico has served hundreds of clients and his expertise, attention to detail, caring nature, and commitment to his work have given him an excellent reputation within the training community in Anchorage.
Drawing on his academic studies and years of hands-on experience, Nico has developed a training system that starts with who the client is. The way the client feels, thinks, and behaves will dictate the training style to ensure motivation and adherence to the program. Nico knows how to listen and adapt to clients’ needs. The choice of exercises and modalities is only one part of the training equation — Nico considers the whole person to help achieve lasting results and a longer and more enjoyable life.
